A Case Study

Grantley Hall is a magnificent restoration project, which combines a rich heritage with modern luxuries.

Dating back to the 17th century, Grantley Hall is a Grade II* listed building located in a beautiful parkland setting near Ripon, North Yorkshire. The development offers exquisite hotel accommodation, beautifully landscaped gardens, a variety of restaurants and bars and a luxury spa with gym and wellness facilities.

Lapicida was commissioned to supply natural stone, porcelain and ceramic tiles and to provide fabrication services for a range of opulent marbles and limestones.

Total Confidence

“The project showcases Lapicida’s specialist skills and professionalism. They sourced and fabricated the natural stones, opulent marbles, porcelain and ceramic tiles used throughout the hotel, matching the classical grandeur of the building with premium materials as well as providing products to maximise the budget across a range of different requirements.” Mark Smith, Managing Director, The HACS Group

Style & Simplicity

“Lapicida’s craftsmanship is evident throughout Grantley Hall. From the complex geometric marble and limestone floor in the entrance hall to the dramatically quarter-matched floor of the swimming pool and sumptuous marble bathrooms. The Jurassic marble floor featured in the Bar & Restaurant EightyEight is remarkable and always a talking point.” Tracey Ractliffe, Director of Sales & Marketing, Grantley Hall

Form & Function

The wellness philosophy behind the Three Graces Spa is based on balance, which we mirrored in our supply and fabrication of St Tropez limestone flooring for the spa and changing rooms. In the wet areas, the limestone has been sandblasted for slip resistance. As a result, the limestone is slightly lighter in tone.

In the Detail

Embracing advance in technology, our range of porcelain and ceramic surfaces offers boundless variation in colour, tone and detail. Elegant San Marino marble adorns the hotel’s 47 en-suite bathrooms. A range of approaches from geometric stone floors, etched panels and intricately cut vanity tops and shower bases are present throughout the space.
