Resounding success and three new Bethan Gray and Lapicida tables revealed

With the London Design Festival in full swing and Decorex 2013 fast approaching, selecting Monday as the date for us to host ‘An Evening with Bethan Gray’ was inspired.

The great and the good of the interior design world were all in town and a select 100+ got the hottest ticket in town and descended upon the Lapicida Kings Road showroom for an evening of conversation with design collaborators Bethan Gray and Lapicida.

Word had already got out that Bethan and Lapicida would be unveiling exclusive new pieces of work that are the fruits of this incredibly successful on-going design collaboration.

Bethan kicked off proceedings and with really inspiring conversation regarding her design process and how she worked closely with Lapicida to realise her ideas. Lapicida MD Jason Cherrington was also there to provide specialist insights into the stone manufacturing process for Bethan’s works.

Bethan has an incredible eye for detail that is apparent in all her works – her highly acclaimed Herringbone and Brogue tables in particular have beautifully designed and crafted details. For example the veining of marble in the Herringbone table is perfectly aligned whilst Bethan’s trademark brogue edging required precision craftsmanship to achieve.

Three new Brogue dining tables were also revealed to lucky guests on the night. These are completely new stone topped tables on solid elegant wooden bases.

All three measure 2 x 1 metres and feature Bethan’s distinctive Brogue edges. The first is a Montclair marble table with textured Grey Oak base. The second is an opulent Nero Marquina marble table with Black American Walnut base and the third a distinctly veined Carrara marble with Natural Oak base. They cost £11,950, £10,950 and £9,950 respectively. Bespoke size tables and different marbles made to special order are also available on request

Items of Bethan’s work will also be on display at Decorex International 2013 along with Lapicida’s stunning new range of bespoke antique reclaimed geometric floors. Do come and see what’s possible with natural stone on Stand S13 from 22 to 25 September at Perks Field and The Orangery, Kensington Palace.
