Homes & Gardens Photoshoot

Lapicida was delighted to be involved in a recent decorating feature for Homes & Gardens magazine.

Working with London-based stylist and creative director Alyce Taylor, Lapicida helped to create the backdrop for a hallway design inspired by the Azulejo tradition of tiles, often seen in Spain and Portugal.

Today, a new look at this ancient art form of tin-glazed ceramics, which originates in the 13th century, is rediscovering its decorative appeal for contemporary interiors.

For the feature, stylist Alyce Taylor selected coordinating tiles from Lapicida’s new Mediterranean Collection – which takes its inspiration from vintage and classic designs. The blue and white patterned Lisbon runs seamlessly from floor to wall, while the Porto Plain adds a subtle tone.

There are six different products within Lapicida’s Mediterranean Collection. From traditional blue and white patterns to decorative terracottas, the colour palette is easy and natural, ideal for both walls and floors. All tiles are 200x200mm and 9mm thick and cost £58.80 per square metre.

These new-generation ceramics are inherently tough, hardwearing and incredibly easy to maintain. They present the perfect solution for a modern lifestyle.
