Lapicida and Cosentino exclusive UK Silestone® and Dekton® partnership
Lapicida is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership agreement with Spanish surface manufacturer Cosentino. This makes Lapicida the UK’s sole retail distributor of Silestone® and Dekton® flooring and wall tiles.
We have long been an admirer of both of these impressive Cosentino UK surface brands. This partnership underlines our ongoing commitment to offering retailers and commercial specifiers a definitive destination for the highest quality luxury natural stone, porcelain and manmade tiles.
Lapicida Managing Director, Jason Cherrington, enthuses “We are delighted to have secured this exclusive partnership to distribute Silestone® and Dekton® tiles nationwide. It is a great addition to our existing range of products and services.”
These innovative surfaces – in marble, neutral and even vivid tones, are revolutionising the design of kitchen and bathroom surfaces around the world. And, for those seeking a floor or wall covering to match their kitchen worktop or bathroom scheme, Lapicida’s new tile offering is the perfect choice.
Matching floor tiles and kitchen worktop shown in Iconic White (above centre) are from the Silestone® Collection. Floor tiles are available to order from Lapicida.
So, let’s look at these two Cosentino UK high-performance manmade surfaces.
Silestone® tiles are created from a blend of 90 per cent natural quartz and polymer resin. This is treated to create a range of highly decorative colours and textures, including natural stone and modern concrete appearances that add impact to any surface. Incredibly hardwearing and highly resilient to impact, stains, scratches, heat and chemicals. Their very composition makes them extremely hygienic. Think kitchens and bathrooms.
Lapicida stocks over 60 Silestone® surfaces that are available in various size formats and thicknesses, ideal for areas that require high levels of performance with minimal maintenance. The products come in three finishes – velvety suede, polished, and textured volcano.
Dekton® is highly technical using exclusive ‘Particle Sintering’ Technology (PST) and an innovative mixture of the raw materials used in the production of glass, porcelain tiles and quartz surfaces. This process accelerates the metamorphic process of natural stone, helping to create a tile that delivers mechanical strength, scratch, stain, UV ray, abrasion and hydrolysis resistance.
Dekton® is reputedly the most scratch resistant surface on the market. Its high UV resistance makes it the perfect choice for internal and external floors and walls – ideal for continuing a floor through to your outside space. Lapicida’s range of Dekton® tiles numbers over 40, available in various thicknesses and formats up to 157cm x 140cm, and in a polished or matt finish.
With an extensive array of colours to choose from, the possibilities for your interior schemes are endless. Shown above are limestone effect Danae wall tiles in a modern bathroom setting (left) and classic grey Ventus floor tiles in a living room (right) - available to order through Lapicida from the Dekton® Natural Collection.
Lapicida is delighted to add Cosentino UK to its extensive surface portfolio. Paul Gidley, Area Director for Cosentino UK, also commented on the agreement, saying, “A luxury global brand, Lapicida has a wealth of knowledge and experience in premium tile promotion and distribution across the UK, Europe and America, making it ideally placed to bring our Silestone® quartz and Dekton® ultra-compact tiles to the market. We are thrilled to be able to announce this partnership and look forward to a successful working relationship. With Lapicida holding stock of the tiles at its premises, we will also be collectively providing a better service to all of our customer base.”
