Limestone
Limestone is an organic, sedimentary rock. It is formed from the remains of tiny shells and micro-skeletons deposited on the sea bed, then compressed over millions of years to form solid rock. Pure limestone is white or almost white. Impurities such as sand, organic remains, iron oxide and clay mean some limestones tiles exhibit colours.
Limestone is available in a wide spectrum of colours and provides a contemporary, seamless look. Lapicida-sourced limestone tiles are extremely hard-wearing, some as tough as granite.
