Lapicida is committed to the highest standard of environmental performance. The showroom utilises a number of energy saving technologies to reduce fuel consumption. It will shortly be completely energy efficient. The ambition is to become completely carbon neutral by 2012.
Lapicida is also close to becoming the largest stockiest of natural antique and reclaimed stone and will continue to develop its range sensitively with genuine environmental consciousness. Consequently, Lapicida has ceased all imports from countries that are not committed to reducing their carbon footprint and where the possibility of social exploitation exists.
CORE is a Lapicida initiative and a mark which they are committed to developing within the industry. Currently there is no international recognised body that reflects the industry and the important issue of responsible use of natural stone resources.
