Who installs my tiles? Lapicida do not install natural stone tiles. However, we can recommend specific companies who have skilled craftsmen that specialize in the installation of natural stone.
How are my stone tiles installed? All natural stones need to be thoroughly sealed during the fixing process to prevent staining and must be solidly bedded. Cement based tile adhesives are the most appropriate to fit your tiles. Fast setting adhesives are advisable as the moisture disperses quickly from the stone. If the stone selected is light in tone it needs fixing with white adhesives to prevent possible discolouration.
Is quality guaranteed? At Lapicida superior quality is our mantra. Our state-of-the-art warehouse is fitted with underfloor heating which dries out the stone to ensure it is in premium condition and ready for installation. Upon arrival, tiles are checked for quality and are individually checked on departure to minimise breakages and ensure consistency. We understand the frustration when one element of your new kitchen or bathroom can hold up your entire project, which is why we sell all products from stock. Orders are picked and prepared immediately, giving the customer peace of mind.
Are stone tiles environmentally friendly? Natural stone tiles typically last for many years and with the correct maintenance they will continue to look good over time. Due to the longevity of natural stone tiles, the impact on the environment is lessened. Lapicida is committed to the to continually improving environmental performance.
